The major reason why the iPod pawns the competition is becuase of the ecosystem know as iTunes. Other company just cannot compete with that and it only works with an iPod.
Motion controller doesn't have that kind of ecosystem. If anything, Microsoft have Live and if they can have arcade games that have Natal function that cater to the Casual, then that might be an advantage, actually.
Also, Microsft will advertise the heck out of this thing.

No, X360 has Live, AAA franchises in Halo, Fable, Gears, Forza, Mass Effect, Splinter Cell, the best Arcade DL games on any system, new IPs like Alan Wake, and now it will add Natal to get the casual.

Already bought ME2, Bayonetta and Darksiders for my X360 this month.
Feb, I will get Bioshock 2(x360), Dante's Inferno Divine Ed.(PS3), and Alien vs Predator(X360).
March, I already have the PS3 versions of FF13 and GOW3 paid for. Also adding Battlefield Bad Company 2(X360).
My April purchase is set with SSF4(PS3), Red Dead Redemption(X360), and last but not least, Splinter Cell Conviction.

1. Edge of Reality were the ones that made Dragon Age.
2. PS3 version superiority is overstated. It has higher textures but the X360 has better frame rate and runs smoother.

4. Mass Effect was developed for X360 first and then ported to the PC. So the PS3 version will be like any other X360 to PS3 port, ie..Orangebox and Bayonetta.
This games need to be play by people with X360 or a Windows OS PC with compatible HW.

Yes Live is a reason. There is a reason why games like Modern Warfare sold over twice as much as the PS3 version. People like what live have to offer over PSN.
